We are lucky enough to have an in-house salon at Paul Mitchell Headquarters with a vast array of tools and products at our disposal. And that means, if you come to work with wet hair or your hair goes flat mid-day, you can sneak away into the salon and fix your style in a pinch. It’s a perk that many of us take advantage of on early mornings or before big events.
We recently caught Mayra, Executive Assistant to John Paul DeJoria, adding quick but enviable curls to her hair. We asked if she would walk us through her five-minute style and this is what she shared:
"My five-minute fix-up involves a large curling iron and a bit of hairspray. I section my hair into three vertical sections on each side of my head and start by curling the front section. I wrap the hair around the top of the barrel, away from my face, and slowly move down the iron until I reach the ends. I do the same thing on the next two sections and then repeat on the other side of my head. After all of my hair is curled, I gently loosen the curls with my fingers and spray a bit of Super Clean Spray®. And that’s it! I get easy curls in a matter of minutes and am ready for my next meeting!"
