As 2015 comes to a close and we prepare for another banner year, we can’t help but reflect on all of the amazing things that have taken place in the last 12 months. Here’s a round-up of some of our favorite events, launches, celebrations and more!


With the help of our amazing fans, we celebrated our 35 th year in business. The celebration included lots of fun trivia, throwbacks photos and, best of all, product giveaways! If you haven’t already, be sure to enter our last #35YearsOfPM giveaway for your chance to win a year’s supply of MITCH® Double Hitter®. And thank you to everyone who participated and helped us celebrate. We’re so grateful for our fans!

It’s always exciting to bring new, high-performance products to the market and this year we launched three! In July, we launched the color XG®, a European-developed permanent hair color that offers performance and reliability to professional colorists. To our delight, the product has been a huge hit. Check out the gorgeous colors below created by some of our artists using the color XG in their salons!

And in July, we launched MITCH® Matterial™╌a powerful styling clay that bulks up texture with a dry, ultra-matte finish. In the words of Paul Mitchell pro stylist Chris Hogg, "The scent is ALL MAN. In a blind test, there would be no confusion if this was a men’s or women’s styling product." Matte styles are on-trend for men this fall/winter, so be sure to pick one up at a Paul Mitchell School or salon near you.

And lastly, we introduced a new product line up from Awapuhi Wild Ginger®: MirrorSmooth®. This new line of care products was created to transform frizzy, lackluster locks into soft strands with high shine. Since the launch, beauty lovers everywhere have been touting the technology of the product and its ability to produce great hair days consistently!

Paul Mitchell stylist Angelina Panelli led a team of stylists as they created the gorgeous hair looks for Wolk Morais’ 2015 runway shows.

Yigal Azrouel New York Fashion Week Runway Show

Celebrity stylist James Pecis and a team of Paul Mitchell stylists created the hair looks for the Yigal Azrouel Spring 2016 runway show. The team created stunning looks with the help of fan-favorite Awapuhi Wild Ginger® styling products and Neuro® styling tools.

MarulaOil  proudly sponsored the fourth annual  Baby2Baby  gala╌an impressive affair that celebrates the non-profit foundation’s mission to provide low-income children with basic necessities and honors those who support their cause. The event was  a beautiful celebration of goodwill and raised over $2.1 million.

Waterkeeper Keep It Clean Comedy Event

Is there anything better than a whole bunch of A-list comedians getting together and putting on an amazing show that benefits a great cause? Waterkeeper and a star-studded line-up of funny guys and gals including Martin Short, Sarah Silverman, Ray Romano and Tig Notaro gathered to raise funds and awareness about keeping our water ways clean. Paul Mitchell stylists were on site providing styling services and touch-ups, while getting a lot of laughs from the guests along the way.


As always, this year was an eventful one in the world of our Sports Team. We sponsored some awesome events that showcase the best-of-the-best and benefit great charities. Namely, SuperGirl Surf Jam╌an all-female, 6-start Association of Professional Surfers (ASP) event╌was a great success. We raised over $2700 for breast and ovarian cancer affiliated organizations, including our partner Bright Pink®, Paul Mitchell athlete Sage Erickson placed 3rd overall and Paul Mitchell athlete and Olympian snowboardcross competitor Lindsey Jacobellis won the Celebrity Surf Competition. Talk about Team Paul Mitchell girl power!

Additionally, our hip hop dancers made major waves this year at events like Hip Hop International and World of Dance. We love to support these events because the competitors are just. so. talented. Did you see this viral video of Fik-shun? And this one of Paul Mitchell Insider Dytto?

All in all, it was another great year for Team Paul Mitchell and we can’t wait to bring you even more awesome products and opportunities to interact with our brand in 2016. Here’s to another year of great hair days and great success!
