California Love: The Amazing State We’re Proud To Call Home

Posted by Team John Paul Mitchell Systems® on May 21st 2019

Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, we have nothing but love for the magnificent Golden State. From its beautiful beaches to its breathtaking mountains…from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood to the innovative nature of the tech industry…along with some of the best weather in the world, this land has got us in a constant state of California dreaming. But there’s more to it than sunshine and palm trees; we wanted to share with you some additional reasons why we’re proud to call California home.

California Roots

Born in the Echo Park section of Los Angeles, California, our Co-Founder, John Paul DeJoria is a native Angeleno. As one of the state’s most beloved philanthropic individuals, he is active in organizations that help safeguard our local waters as well as help to plant trees in fire-damaged forests. Once homeless himself, he has been a major supporter of nonprofit groups that help the local homeless community.

It was also in this very state where he met Paul Mitchell, and together they launched our company, where it still remains today.

California Made

Our product development process begins in our state-of-the-art Product Innovation Center (PIC), in Santa Clarita, California. It’s here where our products are researched, formulated and tested (on humans). From concept to completion, our talented teams work hand-in-hand to perfect every formula and bring our newest innovations to life.

California Dreaming

Clear desert air. Soaring redwoods. Pacific ocean sunset. Come with us on a California style adventure. Each item in our limited edition  California Dreaming Collection is a stop on our journey and pays homage to the unique natural beauty and laid-back looks of the state we’re proud to call home.
