JP Award from BGC

As a young man, Paul Mitchell® Co-founder and CEO John Paul DeJoria was a member of his local Boys and Girls Club in East Los Angeles, where he found a safe haven during his challenging childhood. Recently, after many years of giving back to the organization that supported him during his youth, he was inducted into his local chapter’s Hall of Fame!

The Variety Boys and Girls Club honored John Paul during their annual gala by presenting him with a beautiful award and placing flower basket centerpieces on each table, a tribute to his woodshop mentor and first entrepreneurial venture of selling $.25 wooden flower pots for $.50.

On behalf of John Paul and everyone at Paul Mitchell, we’d like to send a sincere thank you to Variety Boys and Girls Club. John Paul’s award is on proud display in his office at the Paul Mitchell headquarters!
