Transitioning back into day-to-day life and establishing a career path after serving in the armed forces can be a challenge for our veterans, but the non-profit organization Makeovers That Matter aims to make that transition easier. The organization empowers female veterans to re-enter the workforce by providing free makeovers and job training services, all the while boosting confidence and celebrating inner and outer beauty. That’s a cause we can get behind (and did!).
This past Veteran’s Day, Paul Mitchell teamed up with Makeovers That Matter to provide makeovers for 11 deserving female veterans. Paul Mitchell The School " Sherman Oaks hosted the event, while 11 Future Professionals and the Makeovers That Matter team worked their magic, making the women look and feel beautiful on the inside and out! While the focus of the event was on updating the veterans’ physical appearance, the effects of the day went far past a physical transformation╌the women were empowered, confident and equipped to start the next chapter of their lives. We were honored to participate in such a worthy cause and look forward to working with Makeovers That Matter again in the future!
