Post-Gym Hairstyles for Sporty Chicks

Post-Gym Hairstyles for Sporty Chicks

If you’re anything like us, your hair game can occasionally dictate when and how often you work out:

If I go to my gym class tomorrow morning:

I’ll have to go to work with wet hair"

I’ll have to dry my hair at the gym with that terrible dryer"

I’ll have to bring my arsenal of styling products"

If thoughts like these have stopped you from working on your fitness or doing your downward dogs, we’re here to show you how to achieve stylish, post-workout styles with ease--so your hair game doesn’t get in the way of your New Year’s resolutions. Check out these three post-gym hairstyles that are equal parts practical and chic, and can be worn wet (you read how we feel about the wet trend, right?). These sporty styles are achieved with tools and stylers that’ll fit perfectly in your gym bag.

BRAIDS FOR DAYS

Braids are every girl’s hairstyle best friend. After sweating it out at your dance class, sport these braids whilst grabbing a green juice with your girls. Simply divide your damp hair into four rows and create four inverted (Dutch) braids. Secure with elastics and pull at the outside of the braids to create the illusion of thicker, fuller plaits.

SLICKED BACK PONYTAIL

This post-gym hairstyle is super simple, which defines its chic, minimalist vibe. After toning up in your Pilates class, wash your tresses and apply a small amount of Super Clean Sculpting Gel® from your roots to the middle of your hair shaft. Use a fine tooth comb or brush to smooth your hair into a low ponytail and secure with an elastic. Let your ponytail dry naturally. The final style will be a wet-look ponytail with untreated lengths.

Tied back KNOT

When in doubt, top knot. After running your miles or squatting "till you can’t squat anymore, and it’s time to start your day, a tied back knot is a style saver. Simply put your wet hair into a ponytail and then separate your hair into two sections. Tie the two sections into a knot 1-2 times depending on the length of your hair and wrap/tuck the ends around the base. Secure with bobby pins and voila! You’re post-gym ready.

With these post-gym styles, there’s no excuse for not going to the gym tomorrow morning. Stock your gym bag with a hair tie, bobby pins, your favorite stylers (Dry Wash® is another must-have!) and a brush for great hair days after every gym session.
