Each year, future professionals and team members from 100+ Paul Mitchell cosmetology schools raise money and awareness for selected charities. Raising $5-10 at a time with grassroots activities like cut-a-thons, hair shows, and princess parties, they've raised over $21 million in 16 years!
Baby2Baby provides low-income children ages 0-12 with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child deserves. Paul Mitchell Vice Chairman Michaeline DeJoria has taken a special interest in being part of this community-minded organization.
Bright Pink is the only national non-profit organization that focuses on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women. We are proud to support their mission to educate, equip and empower women of all ages to be proactive with their health.
Eyes On Cancer is a non-profit cancer awareness organization that teaches beauty professionals to identify early stage skin cancer. Through education in the beauty industry, Eyes On Cancer aims to reduce cancer fatality by leveraging those first line responders that are naturally in a position to spot skin cancer/melanoma at its earliest stages.
In 2010, Paul Mitchell co-founder John Paul DeJoria teamed up with Berea College to establish Grow Appalachia, a non-profit initiative that helps Appalachian families plant a healthy future. Over the last few years, the organization has produced more than 1.1 million pounds of healthy, organic food for thousands of people in five states.
Unify Against Bullying pledges to end bullying through the celebration of true diversity. We support their dedication to helping children bring an end to bullying by giving them the tools and encouragement they need to stand up, stand out and stand united against bullying.
Waterkeeper® Alliance is the world’s fastest growing environmental movement dedicated to protecting everyone’s right to clean water. We support their efforts to achieve swimmable, drinkable and fishable waterways worldwide through litigation of polluters and regulatory programs that protect our waterways for generations to come.
Reforest’Action is an environmental organization that plants trees worldwide in the areas where they're needed most. We’ve made a pledge with them to plant a total of 750,000 trees by the end of 2019. Over the course of their lifespans, those trees will remove 85,000 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere.
A WALK ON WATER is a family of volunteers who share the therapeutic powers of the ocean with those in need. We support AWOW’s primary goal of providing relief to special needs children with water therapy through guided surf instruction.
City of Hope is an independent biomedical research, treatment, and education center dedicated to preventing and curing cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It is one of only 40 National Cancer Institute–designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers nationwide and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
