Iconic Hair

Like Mother, Like Daughter.

Long, short. Straight, curly. Wet, dry. The significance of hair can run deeper than just an extension of one’s appearance. It can serve as a symbol of strength or a life change; reflect your mood; or shape a cultural identity.

Global Ambassador Quannah Chasinghorse and her mother and Indigenous land activist Jody Potts-Joseph share the importance of hair in their culture and the meaning behind their traditions.

Paul Mitchell and Nia Tero Logos

An Iconic Pairing

Making a positive impact on the ecosystem has always been a priority for us. Since our company's founding in 1980, we've been cruelty-free; in 1983 we established a solar-powered farm in Hawaii to grow awapuhi for our products; and have worked closely with Reforest'Action to empower farmers in regions such as Peru and Haiti to cultivate new tree growth to benefit their local communities.

With a shared passion for community, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, Paul Mitchell® is proud to partner with Quannah to continue the brand’s unwavering commitment to protecting the places and people we love.

In a joint mission to preserve the health of the planet, Paul Mitchell® is partnering with Nia Tero (which translates to “Our Earth” in the international language Esperanto), a U.S.-based non-profit that provides lasting support to Indigenous peoples safeguarding their homelands.
