Great for prepping any style, this dry-touch oil absorbs quickly and easily into the hair to deliver a soft, silky texture. With sustainably harvested awapuhi extract from our farm in Hawaii and lightweight silicones, it seals strands, smoothes frizz and imparts shine. Excellent for dry, color-treated, lightened or damaged hair that needs extra hydration.

Apply a small amount to clean, damp hair and style as usual or smooth on dry hair to eliminate frizz and add shine. On finer hair types, less is more. For denser, coarser hair types, apply to towel-dried hair and then again once hair is completely dry.

    1. HOW TO SILK PRESS YOUR HAIR

    2. Cleanse with a sulfate-free (without SLS, SLES, ALS) shampoo, such as Moisturizing Lather Shampoo®, to hydrate hair without stripping curls dry.
    3. For the silkiest results, follow with a deep conditioner, such as Keratin Intensive Treatment®, and let it sit for 5-10 minutes to instantly improve hair texture.
    4. Give hair a round-brush blowout with our fave combo: Express Ion Dry®+ Hair Dryer and Express Ion® Round Brush.
    5. Apply a small amount of Styling Treatment Oil before running a ceramic flat iron, such as Express Ion Smooth®+ Flat Iron, through hair to smooth out hair and give hair a silky texture. Finish with another layer of oil for added shine.
    6. To extend the life of a silk press, wrap hair with a silk scarf before bed to keep hair smooth and maintain its silkiness.
