How can we help you?
Browse the topics below to find what you are looking for.
Who are authorized e-commerce partners for JPMS?
Our authorized e-commerce partners are Amazon.com (USA, CA, IT, DE, IN, AUS, UK), Ulta.com and JCP.com.
Why does JPMS sell on Amazon and paulmitchell.com?
When JPMS partnered with Amazon we did it to benefit salons. Doing so removed 2500+ unauthorized listings of products and brought pricing to MSRP.
Are salons eligible for commission from ecommerce sales?
Yes, qualifying eligible Pro Rewards members earn a commission converted into equivalent Pro Rewards Points on retail purchases for products sold on paulmitchell.com and Amazon. Points will be automatically deposited into the salon’s Pro Rewards account.
When can salons expect to receive paulmitchell.com and Amazon commissions?
Points are deposited into Pro Rewards Program accounts quarterly.
How can my salon get more information about paulmitchell.com and Amazon commissions?
Email us at rewards@jpms.com or call 1-866-362-8745.
Can my salon sell JPMS products on my own e-commerce site?
Qualified salons may be allowed to sell online, with Regional Director and Distributor approval. They may ONLY sell on their salon-affiliated website— not via Marketplace, eBay, Walmart.com, Zulily, etc.
What is the benefit of the Amazon Affiliate Program versus my individual salon e-commerce site?
Selling on Amazon is more straightforward. There are no upfront costs, and Amazon takes care of the shipping. Amazon pays salons a commission on all sales directed to Amazon via the salon’s affiliate account.
What if I’m having issues with my Amazon Affiliate or Influencer account?
For technical assistance on the program, please contact Amazon Customer Service at 1-800-372-8066 or visit this link.
What is a MAP Policy?
MAP Policies are agreements between manufacturers and approved resellers on the minimum price for products being sold.
What are the benefits of a MAP agreement?
MAP agreements promote consistency in pricing among retailers and protect the integrity of our brands. They discourage price wars and ensure a level playing field for online sales.
How do Paul Mitchell products get to unauthorized retail stores or outlets?
Collectors pay a premium for salons/stylists to purchase products for them and then they sell the products to stores. Sometimes salons may also liquidate inventory when they go out of business, or a distributor may breach contracts and divert products.
What is a diverter or collector?
They are the “bad guys.” They use whatever means possible to obtain exclusive goods such as JPMS products and make them available to sell them in unauthorized channels. They offer salons/stylists “too good to be true” deals on products they have on hand. Collectors may approach salons in person, on the phone or via email with an offer to purchase.
What if my salon is approached by a diverter/ collector?
You should get as much information as you’re comfortable asking for from the diverter/collector and report it to JPMS Brand Protection at 1-888-398-8884 or wecare@jpms.com. Doing business with a diverter/collector, no matter how good the offer, will damage your salon’s reputation and you will no longer be allowed to sell JPMS products. Remember that you should never provide a potential diverter/collector with information about their business, including account numbers, cosmetology licenses, owner’s name or details about your distributor.
What can a stylist do if they suspect the salon they work for is involved in diversion?
They can email wecare@jpms.com to report it confidentially.
What is JPMS doing to fight diversion?
AWe continuously work with distributors to monitor purchases, conduct virtual buys and use bottle codes to track products back to the source. When a distributor’s bottles are found in the open market, they could face steep per bottle fines. We also actively seek and remove unauthorized sellers, as well as set clear buying limits for distributor store and beauty supply purchases.
How can salons help us in our fight against diversion?
Salons and stylists should get educated about diversion and spread the word about why it’s important to purchase JPMS products at their salon and not from a mass market retailer.
