What Distributors Can Do

What Distributors Can Do

Distributors play a key role in Brand Protection and product control. It is essential for distributors to:

• Implement more stringent inventory controls
• Adhere to purchase limits for salons, in stores and online
• Educate their sales team about diversion and the damage it does to the industry
• Identify at-risk salons that may be selling to collectors and cut them off immediately
• Remind salons of JPMS Brand Protection policies and offer Brand Protection support

What JPMS Is Doing

• Entered binding non-diversion contracts with our global distribution partners
• Established per-bottle financial penalties for any JPMS product found at an unauthorized retailer
• Set clear buying limits for distributor store and beauty supply purchases
• Boosted security coding and tracking on all products
• MAP policies
• Aggressively cut off, and take legal action against, distributors and salons found to be diverting products
• Provide a customer service email (wecare@jpms.com) to report unauthorized sellers
