We are reviewing all aspects of our business for opportunities to reduce our carbon output. Here are the many commitments we've made in this area, with the goal of eventually decarbonizing our operations completely.

393,998 Solar Power kWh Generated

In 2023, solar panels on our Global Distribution Center in Santa Clarita, California, generated 393,998 kWh of solar energy, the equivalent of saving 703,953 miles driven by an average gasoline-powered car (enough to circle the globe 28 times).*

*Based on monitoring by Solar Edge and data conversion via EPA Greenhouse Gas Equivalence Calculator.

Offsetting Carbon From Consumer Shipments, Photos Shoots And Business Operations*

We are partnering with a third-party organization to offset carbon from our company operations: The Rimba Raya Biodiversity Project in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, which conserves 47,237 hectares of habitat for the endangered Bornean orangutan.

*Carbon offsets purchased from Restitution Brands LLC dba Terrapass. Offset Registry: Verra (VCS). Project ID: 674, Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve Project. Project Type: Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) project under the Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD+) project category. Site location: Indonesia, Kalimantan (Island of Borneo), Central Kalimantan, Seruyan. Protocol: VM0004 v1.0 Methodology.

2,000,000 Trees Planted By 2030

In 2022, we reached our goal of planting one million trees with our partner Reforest'Action. Now we are committed to planting an additional one million trees, bringing our total to two million by the end of 2030. To help track our progress, we have joined 1t.org, a global tree planting movement from the World Economic Forum.

This community is part of the World Economic Forum's efforts to accelerate nature-based solutions by mobilizing the private sector and fostering partnerships to plant one trillion trees—a massive undertaking that is too large for any one entity alone. Tea Tree is proud to be part of this collective action to help reverse deforestation and reach a scale that will make a significant impact.
