We are taking action to reduce the amount of waste we contribute to the landfill by helping to improve the recyclability of our packaging, launching our office e-waste and tools recycling program with Homeboy Industries, and implementing new event and catering guidelines around single-use plastic and waste.

75,000 Pounds of Waste Diverted From Landfills*
Green Circle Salons is the industry's first sustainable salon solution dedicated to fighting beauty waste and climate change. Currently, 199 JPMS partner salons are Green Circle Certified, including our own Product Innovation Center which recycled 353 pounds of beauty waste in 2023. Green Circle helps salons offset their emissions and recover up to 95% of their beauty waste, including hair clippings, foils and color tubes.
*Data collected for the time period Jan 1-Oct 16, 2024.
1,406 Pounds of Electronics Recycled
Through our program with Homeboy Industries, 1,406 pounds of returned hair tools and e-waste were diverted from the landfill in 2023. Homeboy is an R2 Certified non-profit social enterprise that provides jobs to people who face systemic barriers due to previous gang involvement or incarceration.
Most Shipments With Lower Footprint
In a sizable shift for our corporate operations, we are removing nearly all plastics from the materials used for shipping and fulfillment. Instead, our Distribution Center uses recyclable mailers, craft paper made from recycled fiber, and water-activated tape that enhances the materials' curbside recyclability.
*Excluding some shipments with special requirements.
